Sycamore Reserve Senior Living About Us

About Us

Sycamore Reserve is the second independent senior living community we've developed. The first, Bartlett Reserve, located in Durham, North Carolina has enjoyed great success and was awarded Senior Advisor's Best of Senior Living, by its residents and their family members, multiple years in a row.

You'll appreciate the convenience of being in Castleton on the northside of Indianapolis close to I-69, I-465, Community Hospital North, IU Health Hospital Saxony, St. Vincent's Hospital North, a variety of grocery stores, restaurants, specialty shops and shopping at the largest mall in Indiana: Castleton Square Mall. We are very excited to be an integral part of The City of Indianapolis' new Castleton Revitalization Plan.

"I am heartend to hear of the plans. The new senior living community will be exciting news for area residents."
Christine Scales, Indianapolis City County Council

Our Team

We think there is a better way for seniors to enjoy their independent lifestyle. We're obsessively passionate about it, and it's our mission to help you live life to the fullest. Our dedicated team is always here to help.

Susan Albers, Executive Director

Susan, is an Indianapolis native and she brings more than eighteen years senior living management experience to Sycamore Reserve. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lincoln Christian University and her Masters of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Susan spent the earlier part of her career as a fundraiser, leading efforts to raise millions of dollars for the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Dayspring Shelter for Homeless Families, Jameson Camp and Habitat for Humanity.

Over her career she’s always had a passion for working with seniors. It first began as a caregiver at a senior community when she was in college. In 2000 she was able to revisit that joy of serving seniors when she managed the Indiana Assisted Living Association. Six years later, she had earned her license as an assisted living administrator and proceeded to serve for 12 years as executive director for Morning Side of College Park and then Magnolia Springs South Pointe. She is now heading up the management team to develop Sycamore Reserve and she is very excited to start meeting Sycamore Reserve’s residents.

"Our senior residents deserve the very best and we intend to provide that and more."
